Before We Started

When JTE Solar paused all digital advertising efforts to save money, they didn’t expect sessions, new users, and page views to rapidly decline. Worse, quality traffic was difficult to discern from bots.

After We Were Done

Despite the year-over-year (YoY) loss in sessions, new users, and views, the month-over-month (MoM) numbers have grown steadily between Jan. 1 and Apr. 30 this year.

Not only have impressions and CTR increased over the past few months, but they’re also up from a year ago, an excellent result for such recently relaunched campaigns. The average CTR for Google Search ads is 3.17%, and our lowest CTR for this client is 4.67%. JTE Solar’s highest campaign CTR is 6.4%.

Organic and direct traffic are quickly building momentum, with direct traffic up by 21% in MoM. Engagement is up by 55%. Mobile engagement has been boosted by 88% YoY.

The Problem

JTE Solar paused its marketing activities in January of 2022, bringing all campaigns to a halt. Basic metrics like sessions, new users, and page views rapidly declined. Most of the previous year’s traffic was bots, so JTE Solar needed increased traffic with quality leads. That’s where Plan Left came in.

The Plan

Plan Left’s solution was a series of PPC campaigns to drive quality traffic and engagement to JTE Solar’s website. We settled on Google Search ad campaigns versus display ads to achieve a higher click-through rate (CTR).

These ads were implemented beginning Jan. 1, 2023, focusing on JTE’s solar energy solutions. We targeted more long-tail keywords to push past the competition JTE Solar faced in the past.
